Entry 3

There is no particular time when I am writing because whenever I feel the drive to do so, I always do. However, the one that I considered my most productive time of the day is nighttime especially 8pm onwards. During this time span, I am always in the mood to write something because my creative juices are very active. On the other hand, I have a special spot in which whenever I am sitting in that spot, I get easily motivated to write despite the distractions. That is my bed side table which where I prefer to write most of the time because I am very comfortable in that place and I always feel I need to do something productive in that spot.

The usual writing tools that I always prepares before to write are my notebook, ballpen, pencil for drafts or corrections, merriam dictionary, and lastly, a cup of water to stay hydrated in long hours of sitting.

I always write from various range of genres because I want to explore all of them. I've already write romance, sci-fi, historical, murder, thriller, and comedy. But among all of them, my most favorite are the murder ones because I love solving cases and having mind puzzles, and also sci-fi because I get to learn also while writing that piece.

Think-write writer is the one that suits to me the most because I can't properly organize an idea until I get hold of my pen and paper to write. I am planning while also writing because I can easily visualize the outcome of my piece once I've started writing it. Unfortunately, I also tend to not revise my first draft because when I am writing those, the surge of my creative juices are there that's why I'm confident that it has only minimal, or fortunately no revisions at all.

The stages of the writing process that I use are the prewriting, drafting, cooling and sometimes, revising. My strengths are once I've started the introduction part, I can already visualize the flow and the ending of the story. Also, whenever a scene doesn't fit in the story, I always have a back-up story plot in my head for an immediate alternative. However, my weaknesses are I tend to get easily distracted by even the simplest thing. I have a short attention span which always cause me to have multiple breaks and "lutang" moments whenever I am writing. Additionally as what I've stated earlier, I rarely revised my work but I am now trying my best to still execute this one of the very important stages of writing.
