Roof deck’s view
As the sun rises in the east,
she sat peacefully in their roof deck
Looking through the riverbanks,
Witnessing different faces of struggles
As the sun rises in the east,
the dark side of Tondo awakens,
Silhouette of children's innocence;
vividly unaware in life's cruelty being laid
As the sun rises in the east,
the depth of their mud can be seen from atop
Despair becomes their daily routine,
Breathing just to prolong their suffering
As the sun rises in the east,
the land of the so-called criminals by the society,
Deters their poverty acknowledgement
to finally escape as victims of capitalists
As the sun sets in the west,
her hope stands still in the clouds,
Beholding her everyday view of the city
Fuels her desire to fight for people's rights
